Fruit Pies are my favorite.  Probably because they are mostly fruit, which means they are health food, which means they are life sustaining and good for the soul all at the same time.


The best thing I ever made was a berry cobbler (really it was a crisp) made with berries picked fresh the same day in Washington.


After that experience, my bucket list now includes: 1. Visiting Wisconsin in early summery to make cherry pie with fresh picked cherries, 2. Visiting Washington in early fall to make an apple pie with fresh picked apples.
